U3A Nunawading once again made a vibrant and memorable contribution to the Whitehorse Spring Festival, held under perfect Spring skies that drew an excellent turnout from the community.
Our performers brought colour, energy and enthusiasm to every part of the event. The Silver Grove Swing Band opened with a lively set that attracted a delighted crowd. They were followed by our energetic Zumba group, whose upbeat routines filled the area with excitement. The Choir then delivered a spirited and heartfelt performance that resonated beautifully throughout the festival grounds. See the Photo Gallery here
Dancers were a popular drawcard
Across the festival, our dance groups added cultural richness and visual splendour. Line Dancing Beginners, Uyghur Dance, Cantonese Opera, Fan Dance, Dong Ethnic Dance and Chinese Classical Dance groups all presented graceful, lively routines in vibrant and colourful costumes. Meanwhile, our Line Dancing Experienced group impressed audiences with a confident and polished showcase.
The best of art and craft
The Art & Craft display also drew much admiration, featuring works from Painting, Illustration, Picture Book Making and Paper Clay classes, alongside intricate Fabergé-style eggs and beautifully turned wooden vases. Each piece demonstrated remarkable skill and creativity.
Thank you to our contributors
A sincere thank you goes to all performers, artists, volunteers and class leaders for your time, preparation and commitment. Your hard work and enthusiasm were evident in every performance and display, and you represented U3A Nunawading with pride, talent and warmth.
