 How do I join?

U3A Nunawading is closed to new members until enrolment week in November 2026.

The Committee of Management has decided to close U3A to new members in 2026, from 3 pm Thursday 5 March, until enrolment week late November, 2026.

With just over 3000 members now, we are at capacity! Most classes are full, and many have long wait lists – a tribute to the popularity of our leaders and their classes. But this also puts pressure on facilities (including the car park), and on all the volunteers in Course Administration, Reception, Committee of Management and the AV team.

We will re-open to new members on the 3rd day of enrolment week in November (dates to be finalised).

For more details on memberships, visit the memberships page

How do I renew my membership?

Dates for re-enrolment will be announced later in the year. Instructions for renewing in the new membership system, Member Wizard, will be made available at that time.

For more details on memberships, visit the memberships page.

How do I enrol in classes and pay my membership fee?

Dates for re-enrolment will be announced later in the year. Instructions for renewing in the new membership system, Member Wizard, will be made available at that time.

Please note:

Restricted Courses: Some classes have a restriction on them due to high demand. Therefore, you will only be able to enrol in one restricted class within a course group. These classes are marked with an R in the course code. If you enrol in a Restricted class you will be advised by email if you have been accepted.

Zero-marked Courses: If you enrol in a class that shows a class maximum enrolment as Zero, you will be waitlisted initially because Leaders of these classes have indicated that a certain skill level is required. You will be advised by email if you have been accepted.
