Scammers target Australians with ‘free’ tai chi classes ad to trick them into downloading malware

The ABC News reported this scam over the weekend with this summary (read the article here):
- Scammers are targeting Australians with advertisements for ‘free’ tai chi classes to trick them into downloading malware (malicious software) capable of stealing money off their devices.
- The Australian Competition and Consumer Commission has issued a nationwide alert for the scam.
- Scamwatch has received an uptick of reports about this type of scam, with people reporting losses of $5,000 on average.
