Melbourne Uni research to improve vision testing

A Melbourne University PhD student is conducting research to improve vision testing for people with genetic eye diseases and volunteers between the ages of 40-80 years without a genetic eye disease are needed for the study.
They will be required to do a single research visit to a clinic in Carlton, involving standard eye health exams, retinal imaging and a light detection test. The visit is approximately three hours, and a $50 gift voucher will be available upon completion. To participate or for more information, contact: Lea Lim (PhD candidate) via email:
Austin Health research to reduce dementia risk

A team of researchers from the Institute for Breathing and Sleep at Austin Health are currently recruiting healthy older adults (60+) for a study looking at sleep and brain health. The aim of the study is to better understand the things that contribute to a healthier brain, so that changeable lifestyle factors (e.g., sleep) can be used to reduce risk of dementia or cognitive impairment. Participants will be reimbursed up to $1000 for completing the study. For more information see this webpage, contact or phone 9496 5928.
