A warm welcome to all members returning from the term break. I do hope that many of you were able to catch up with family and friends and enjoy your three-week break from U3A.
I am pleased to inform you that U3A Nunawading is again open to new members from the commencement of Term 3.
U3A recognition at Deakin Community Awards
On 23 June, I along with a number of Committee of Management members attended the Deakin Community Awards presentation. It was great to see Lindsay Glen recognised with an award in the Seniors Category and U3A Nunawading in the Group Category.
Christmas in July was a crowd pleaser
I also attended the Christmas in July Social function at the Mulgrave Country Club on 4 July . This was a great event with plenty of singing, dancing, and an enjoyable three course Christmas lunch. Congratulations to Paulina Chong and the Social Committee.
AGM and call-out for new committee members
The Annual General Meeting of U3A Nunawading will be held at the Hub on Wednesday 16 August, if there are any members with an interest in serving on the Committee of Management please get in touch with me via Reception or email and I will be more than pleased to have a chat.
