Around 80 members and friends arrived at the Mulgrave Country Club on a chilly July morning to find a brightly decorated, Christmas-themed room. Congratulations to all those who wore their own Christmas decorations – lots of sparkles on show. See the Photo Gallery.
A delicious lunch of pumpkin soup followed by roast turkey and vegies plus ham was served, with a traditional plum pudding or a meringue with fresh fruit completing the meal.
The fun continued with singing to Christmas-themed music followed by lots of dancing. Some good disco and cha-cha music encouraged most people to get onto the dance floor. We have some great dancers at U3A who took to the dance floor with great gusto. A couple of conga lines also got people up and winding through the room to much laughter and fun.
Some folks were lucky enough to take home a lovely door prize which included perfume or wine to make their Christmas in July last even longer.
