Elsie returns …

… from the wilds of Antarctica and South America.

How fortunate was I to be able to spend five weeks travelling with my eldest daughter sharing some of the great wonders of the world.

We travelled to Argentina and enjoyed the experience of Buenos Aires. A fascinating city with many interesting suburbs full of history and great food.

We then boarded the boat for our experience to Antarctica and what an experience this was. Glaciers and icebergs as big as mountains, penguins, seals, whales, and an assortment of birds.

At the end of the cruise, we travelled into Chile to the Patagonia area and again nature just kept on giving. Instead of the magnificent icebergs and glaciers in Antarctica we had glaciers and icebergs on the lakes in Chile. We travelled through forests and stayed in nature reserves and small villages. Our last experience of the trip was a visit to Iguazu Falls in Argentina and Brazil.

After five weeks away, it was time to come home having built more great memories.

I have been asked by a number of members if it would be possible for me to do a talk on this experience. Maybe sometime towards the end of Term 2 we may be able to do a 4 pm time slot.
