An end-of-year lunch was held for class leaders to acknowledge their service and commitment throughout 2023. This dynamic group is the heart and soul of U3A Nunawading’s success.
Enthusiastic chatter and laughter filled the Hub function room when more than 190 class leaders, Committee of Management and guests enjoyed an end-of-year celebratory lunch on Wednesday 6 December. See the gallery of photos from the event.
Our multi-talented Course Administrator, Elsie Mutton OAM, was a wonderful Master of Ceremonies for the event, and President Gary Walker addressed the crowd to recognise their efforts and thank everyone for their contribution. U3A Nunawading attracts members from far and wide because it is well-organised and has a diverse range of classes and activities. It’s the volunteers who make this happen.
Mayor Cr Denise Massoud dropped by to congratulate U3A Nunawading on another productive year, but unfortunately due to other commitments was unable to stay for any official presentations.
Many of the leaders who are leaving U3A this year took the opportunity to attend, and each was acknowledged for their highly-valued contributions with a parting gift and a warm round of applause.
As a voluntary organisation, U3A Nunawading relies on members to volunteer their time and expertise to run classes and we are lucky to have such a diverse and dedicated team of exceptional class leaders.
