There’s a lot happening at the moment. Planning for 2024 enrolment is underway as is planning for the 2024 Summer School. Both the Seniors and Spring Festivals are nearly here, where we will be involved in a number of activities. And with the end of Term 3 coming up, our Social Committee is offering another Coffee & Cake event to round off the term.
Look out for 2024 enrolment communications
The Enrolment Planning Sub Committee had its first meeting in preparation for our enrolments for 2024. Enrolments for members will commence on Monday 27 November, and the quickest and most efficient way to enrol will be online. Course Admin and the monthly newsletters will keep you fully informed of the process, so please read all communications from U3A Nunawading to ensure that you are fully aware of the process by enrolment date. Course Guides for 2024 will be available closer to the enrolment date.
You’re invited to Coffee & Cake
For those members doing Friday classes, please pop along to the dining area between 10 am and 12.30 pm on Friday 15 September for Coffee & Cake which has been organised by the Social Committee.
U3A activities shine at Seniors Festival
Preparations are well under way for U3A Nunawading’s participation in Seniors Festival on Sunday 1 October at The Round which is situated behind the City of Whitehorse Offices in Whitehorse Road Nunawading. We will have displays in card making, painting, drawing, and pastels as well as performances by our Choir, Cantonese Opera, Line Dancing and Greek Dance classes. Please come along between 10 am and 4 pm and support our very talented members who are participating on the day.
Swing by U3A at the Whitehorse Spring Festival
Whitehorse Spring Festival will be held at The Round on Sunday 15 October and, once again, U3A Nunawading will have a marquee to inform the public of our activities. If you are attending, stop and say “hello”. We will also have many of our members involved with displays and performing on the day.

The organisation of Summer School 2024 is well underway with Convenor Athalie Edis and her sub-committee planning interesting classes and excursions to kick off the new year. As usual, there will be something for everyone.

For those going away in the term break enjoy your holiday and for those staying at home there is plenty of excitement with both the AFL and NRL finals upon us, I wish your team every success – unless they are playing against my team.
