With Term 1 rapidly coming to an end I do hope that all members old and new are enjoying their classes in 2024. Read on for more interesting activities to come this term.

New Member Morning Teas

On Monday 26 February and Thursday 29 February, I attended four new member morning teas organised by our New Member Liaison Officer, Marlene Fernandes, and her team. It was great to meet so many new and enthusiastic members and hopefully, all left with a better understanding of what U3A Nunawading is all about. Congratulations to Marlene and all those involved in organising the events.

Final activities for Term 1

Two activities are coming up that need members’ support: Harmony Day at the Hub on Thursday 21 March and the Culture Fest organised by City of Whitehorse on Sunday 24 March at Strathdon House and Orchard Precinct, Forest Hill. Please read the Celebrating Diversity and Snippets articles in this newsletter for more details.

With the Easter break upon us, I wish you all a very happy Easter and hope you enjoy time with family and friends. I look forward to catching up in Term 2.

Until next time…
