There’s much to celebrate this month, with U3A Nunawading member Terry Hart being honoured with a COTA Victoria Senior Achiever Award and our U3A being well represented at the Whitehorse Spring Festival. We are also offering quality U3A Nunawading polo shirts to our members for a subsidised price.
2025 Victorian Senior of the Year Award
On Wednesday 22 October at Government House, U3A Nunawading member Terry Hart was honoured with a COTA Victoria Senior Achiever Award. Terry has been a Committee Member and Class Leader at U3A Nunawading for many years, as well as contributing to the community via Sailing for the Disabled, the Sudanese Integrated Learning (SAIL) Program, Australian Meteorological and Oceanographic Society and the Melbourne Bach Choir. Terry was supported by family and friends including our Vice President Ken Briscoe, Treasurer Colin Carter and Course Co-ordinator Elsie Mutton. See more in the article later in this newsletter.
Whitehorse Spring Festival
U3A Nunawading had many talented performers at the Whitehorse Spring Festival on Sunday 19 October at the Whitehorse Civic Precinct and the Round. Thank you to all those who contributed, especially Committee of Management members who gave their time to staff our stand.
U3A polo shirts
In the photo above, Ken Briscoe is wearing one of the new U3A Nunawading polo shirts which were also on display at the Whitehorse Spring Festival. U3A Nunawading has subsided the cost of the polo shirts so members can purchase a top-quality shirt for only $25. See the Committee Member on duty to purchase a shirt in your size.
Enrolments for 2026
Enrolments for 2026 will commence on Monday 24 November for our current members and I urge members to enrol online from 9 am on the Monday. This is by far the quickest and most efficient way to enrol for 2026. See more information on how to do this later in this newsletter.
