In this mid-winter edition, we feature our French classes’ celebration of Bastille Day; remind you how you can help maintain our Hub library; highlight two local musical events and note sessions to put you on track for using public transport. Also listed are support services to assist your well-being and to explain My Aged Care.
Bastille Day celebration

By Brigitte Ciurleo
On 15 July, 2026, 34 students of French from Brigitte’s and Thuan’s classes proudly donned the French colours (in spite of France losing the World Cup semifinal that morning) to attend an amazing lunch at Franco-Belge restaurant in Hawthorn to celebrate French National Day. We all enjoyed getting to know each other better in a relaxing atmosphere.
Help our library volunteers!

U3A volunteers maintain the Hub library. If you have time, please put books back on the shelf in the correct section. Otherwise … return them to the top shelf of the library corner.
The Hub library runs on good will!
