In the middle of our three-week term break, our Christmas in July luncheon was held on Tuesday the 4th at the spacious Mulgrave Country Club. It was an afternoon filled with mirth, laughter, and festive cheer which warmed-up the wintery, drizzly day!
Members and guests arrived dressed in their ‘Christmassy’ attire and colours. Miniature ornamental Christmas trees adorned the tables with colourful lights and added to the ambiance of the room, creating the atmosphere for a delightful afternoon ahead.
The three-course luncheon menu featured the festive favourites which are of course the traditional roast turkey, champagne ham, cranberry sauce, and an assortment of delectable sides.
The highlight of the event was undoubtedly the heart-warming sight of people joining in the singing and dancing. The vibrant sound of beloved Christmas classics filled the air as Yvonne De Sousa and Lorraine Fowles invited everyone to join in the merriment of a sing-along.
But the festivities did not stop there! As the tunes grew livelier, those who were light on their feet couldn’t resist the urge to hit the dance floor. Couples twirled, friends held hands and swayed, all to the rhythm of music filling their hearts with warmth and joy.
As the event drew to a close, there was a sense of contentment in the air. Regardless of the season, the event had brought us together for an afternoon of fun-filled celebration and laughter. See the fun in the photo gallery here.
