Snippets

‘Tis the season to be jolly and there’s plenty of jolly fun to be had! This edition of Snippets includes local Christmas festivities, and a report from our own Fishing For Fun group and their successful country trip, and an opportunity for artists.

Fishy tales from Shepparton

By Mike Davies
Fishing for Fun Leader

Recently, 12 members of the Fishing for Fun group went to Shepparton by bus. They had a great time, caught some fish, and got to hand-feed the pelicans. Werner did a great job hand-feeding a pelican twice! Carp were kindly donated by Andrew and Mike.

Linda did a great job assisting in driving the bus home. I think the ladies are better drivers than some of the blokes. Is this possible? The pelican pictured could not believe his/her luck when presented with two carp. All their feathered friends also came for the feast. The Lake Victoria boardwalk was full of tourists.
