Grand Opening of the Whitehorse Seniors Festival & U3A Nunawading’s 35th Anniversary
This year, our Seniors Festival celebration is extra special! Not only are we hosting the Grand Opening of the 2025 Whitehorse Seniors Festival, but we’re also marking 35 wonderful years of U3A Nunawading.
The Grand Opening will be held on Wednesday 1 October from 10 am – 3 pm at the Nunawading Community Hub. The program for the day will showcase a wide variety of activities, demonstrations, and exhibitions spread across different rooms of the Hub — something for everyone to enjoy! View or download the program here.
The theme, Connect, Create, Celebrate, is at the heart of what we do — and on this day you’ll see it come to life. Our talented members will delight you with music, dance, singing, crafts, creative arts, science, and so much more. It’s a day to be inspired, entertained, and reminded of the amazing things our community can achieve together.
So, bring your friends and family, and join us for a fun-filled day of joy, creativity, and community spirit. Best of all, entry is free. We can’t wait to celebrate this milestone year with you!
Other events for Seniors Festival
The celebrations continue throughout October, finishing on a high note with the Whitehorse One Voice Intergenerational Choir Grand Finale on Wednesday 29 October at the Box Hill Town Hall. Generations, cultures and harmonies will come together in a moving community performance of You’re the Voice.
All these events are part of the month-long Victorian Seniors Festival, a statewide celebration of older Victorians.
