Body Scan at the Hub

Monday 27 April to Friday 1 May 2026

Aqualink Nunawading is giving U3A Members the opportunity to have a Body Scan.

The Body Scan is a non-invasive, fully clothed (no shoes) test looking at your body composition. It measures your muscle mass, body fat, metabolic rate, bone density and more in a 15-minute session.

Book at Reception from 16 March. Cost is $5 payable by CARD ONLY.

Do not book a time slot for just after you attend an exercise class. The Body Scan is not suitable for members who have a pacemaker or for amputees.

New classes commencing Term 2 that have spaces

26COM211: Windows File Management. Thursday, 2 pm – 4 pm. Studio 3. Three weeks commencing 4 June. Leader: Tony Widdows. 

You will learn a way to organise your folders and how to use your free OneDrive or other cloud storage, so you can readily find what you are looking for. We will also show ways to back up your PC to avoid extra OneDrive costs that Microsoft seems intent on us paying! For intermediate or experienced Windows users – bring your own laptop.

26MUS060: Ukulele Foundations. Wednesday, 1:15 pm – 2:30 pm. Studio 10. Nine weeks commencing 22 April. Leader: June Sik.

For beginners and those who attended last year’s foundation class. Learn to play for personal enjoyment and to entertain with a few simple songs. No textbooks required. BYO Ukulele.

26LANE32: EAL Intermediate 7. Thursday, 10:30 am – 11:30 am. Ongoing, commencing 23 April. Leader: Judith Lim.

This class offers you an opportunity to improve your pronunciation and increase your confidence when speaking English. You need to be able to speak and understand everyday English with some degree of fluency.

26LANI06: Italian movie conversation. 3rd Wednesday of the month, 11:15 am -12:30 pm. Studio 5. Leader: Linda Hammond.
This is an extension to the Italian Book Club which runs on the first Wednesday of the month.
An Italian movie to be watched at home in your own time. The class will then come together to discuss. Subtitles may be used; however, the discussion will be in Italian.
This class is independent of the Italian Book Club. It will be ideal for members interested in Italian language and culture but cannot commit to reading a book.
Movies to be watched will be advised by email to members and will be available on free-to-air television.
