Welcome to the almost end of Term 2. In the Course Admin area, it has been very busy with making sure all your details are up-to-date before we move over to the new management system, Member Wizard.

A special thank you to Ken Briscoe for leading us through this transition to the new technology. I am sure you all appreciate the time, expertise and commitment needed to make this change possible.

Welcome to Term 2. In this newsletter you will find some new classes that have commenced in Term 2 and still have space, and new classes commencing in Term 3 that are now open for enrolment. There is also news about the recently installed Seniors Exercise equipment and the upcoming Biggest Morning Tea with three wonderful quilts being raffled.

The 2026 year has commenced. Have there been a few challenges? Yes! But the enthusiasm that you have all brought with you in attending classes makes it all worthwhile.

We are still working with our Class Leaders to try to make sure you will all be placed in at least one class of your choice.

If you are looking to enrol in another class, check if the class is still taking enrolments or is closed. Some classes have been closed due to the waitlist being so large that you would never be accepted into the class in 2026.

Once again the Hub is busy with classes celebrating the end-of-year, and enjoying the many friendships made whilst attending U3A.

Christmas has come early to the Hub and we are the proud owners of a new gleaming white Christmas Tree located on Level 1. The tree is once again decorated by members of the Paper Craft class led by the talented Kitty Wong. Take the time to have a look at their amazing work.

Welcome to Term 4! There are only seven weeks in this term, and we hope you can continue to attend and enjoy all that you are enrolled in. In this article there are some pointers to places where basic English skills are taught – if you know someone who needs this help, let them know.
