Course Administrator’s Report

Twenty-six classes a week were held from 29 June at Silver Grove before the centre was closed. It was lovely to catch up with a number of you and see your smiles as you expressed your pleasure at meeting up with other members. Thank you for observing the Covid-19 rules while there.

Members who attended these classes thanked Leaders for making it possible for them to re-connect. It was the boost they needed and will help them deal with our second lockdown.

Tai Chi QiGong 20AAOL03 with Leader Lesley Sinfield is commencing as a Zoom class on Friday 17 July. You can enrol in this class via our website www.u3anunawading.org.au If you have already let Lesley know you are attending you do not need to re-enrol in her class.

If you have access to the internet and are not attending a Zoom class but would like to, have a look at the classes listed under the code 20AAOL on the Courses page of our website. Make sure you confirm if you select a class. There are a number of support people to help get you started if you have a problem. Any questions can be emailed to courseadmin@u3anunawading.org.au

Planning is underway for 2021 classes, which will be held under whatever government restrictions are in place at the time. If you are interested in offering a class next year please email me at the above address.

2021 Summer School planning is also under way. It will be held at the Nunawading Community Hub on 12, 13, 14 and 19, 20 and 21 January. Now is the time for members who wish to offer a class to get in touch with Summer School Convenor Lorraine Sterling at lorrainesterling@gmail.com. Also, if you know of a great speaker or organisation who would offer a session please get in touch. Please note: no fees are paid to speakers or organisations for their participation.

Bushwalkers enjoying their first post isolation walk to Mt Lofty (Eve Kolar)

Twelve of our bushwalkers enjoyed their first post isolation walk to Mt Lofty on a lovely sunny day. They were about to take their second walk this week when, once again, restrictions came into play.

Stay safe,
Elsie Mutton OAM, Course Administrator
