This update includes helpful tips on parking and driving at the Hub and reminders to wear your name badge and to provide an apology if you will be away to keep your class spot.
Take care in the car park
As you are aware the car park can sometimes be a challenge. Drivers should drive slowly and be on the alert for pedestrians.
If you walk to the Hub, as a safety measure do not walk through the car park, walk around the outside footpath and come in via the front door.
Remember, if the car park is full there is always a space in Sandy Street or Luckie Street which is just a short walk to the Hub. There is also the option of parking in one of the streets opposite the Hub and you can cross with the lights.
Your name badge is essential
You must wear your name badge whilst you are at the Hub. If you do not have your name badge showing you may be asked to leave the class and only return when you have your badge. If you do not have a name badge, ask for one to be made for you at the reception desk.
It’s easy to send your apologies
Remember if you are going to miss a class there are a number of ways you can apologise:
- register an apology online (see how to apologise online)
- send an email to
- ring the office on 9878 3898
- advise the leader of the class.
If you are a no show with no apology for three weeks, you may find you have been taken out of the class.
Thank you to all members using the new online Absence/Apology feature. But please note – if you or your leader mark your apology on the attendance sheet, there is no need to enter the apology online as well.
