From the Course Admin team

Welcome back to all from the Course Admin team, Elsie, Ken, Skip and Mary. The first week of term was very busy for our volunteer team as we did our best to settle members into their requested classes.

Please remember all workers at U3A Nunawading are volunteers. Sometimes, this gets forgotten when a member feels they have not got into all the classes they asked for. We work on class lists daily to see how many are attending and, if we can, we take someone from the waitlist. Your patience and understanding are much appreciated.

Leaders induction

In January, we held the annual Leaders Information Session where Class Leaders received their class contact lists and information relevant to operating a class at the Hub.

Admin reminders

  • U3A Nunawading name badges must be worn whilst you are at the Hub, or attend a class outside of the Hub.
  • If you have left your name badge at home, you can ask for a stick-on one. Replacement badges will only be provided if you have lost your original one.
  • If a class finishes at, say 1 pm, the class in the room has seven minutes to vacate. If you are in a class that follows, please do not enter the room until the correct time.
  • Please arrive at your class on-time. It is discourteous to the Leader and your fellow class members to enter once the class has commenced.
  • If you are going to be away for three weeks or more, you can fill in a blue form available at the Reception Desk or, if you know in advance, you can mark an apology on the class attendance sheet.
  • Do not attend a class unless you have been accepted into the class. Please note; waitlisted does not mean you can go in and stand, or sit, at the back of the class.
  • If you wish to withdraw from a class, you can tick the box online.
  • If you have not paid your membership fee, please do so before you attend your next class.
