Once again the Hub is busy with classes celebrating the end-of-year, and enjoying the many friendships made whilst attending U3A.
Christmas has come early to the Hub and we are the proud owners of a new gleaming white Christmas Tree located on Level 1. The tree is once again decorated by members of the Paper Craft class led by the talented Kitty Wong. Take the time to have a look at their amazing work.
Submit your apologies to Reception
For the last weeks of term, the Membership database (UMAS) is being changed over to 2026 classes. As a result, it is not available for enrolments. From 19 November, apologies will also be unavailable. Please submit your apology at Reception during this time.
Christmas workshops
There are still a few spaces in two of the Christmas workshops. If you have not enrolled but intend to do so you will now need to fill in an orange form available at the Reception Desk.
- 25AAEV05: Christmas Embroidery Ornaments. Tuesday 25 November, 10 am – 12 pm. Leader Leonie Clyne.
- 25AAEV07: Christmas Paper Craft. Tuesday 25 November, 9:30 am – 12 pm. Leader Kitty Wong.
Name badges
Remember, if you are coming to the Hub during enrolment time you need to wear your name badge which will have your membership number on it. This will help speed up your enrolment.
Course booklets
The General Course and Summer School program booklets are now available from the Reception Desk. To help the environment, please take only one copy of each per family, and return it to Reception if you don’t wish to keep it.
Note that these printed versions go out of date quickly. The latest course information is always on our website: u3anunawading.org.au/courses-activities/
Don’t stress if you are on a waitlist
Enrolment time can sometimes cause anxiety if you do not get accepted into a class you want. Please don’t worry, as the Course Admin team does their best to make sure, where possible, everyone gets into at least one of their popular classes.

New opportunity
U3A Waverley is offering a 2026 class on Zoom that may be of interest to Nunawading members.
The class is called “Judaism and the Jewish People”. This class is for non-Jewish people, with readings from Jewish sages and rabbis selected to be stimulating for all. In keeping with Jewish tradition, questions and discussion are welcome, the only requirement being mutual respect.
The class will be held on Wednesdays from 10:30 am – 12:30 pm on Zoom. You need a good working computer and internet connection.
