While our current membership system, UMAS, is still serving us well at present, we are planning to move to a new system – Member Wizard – on 1 July. This new system has been taken up by 23 Victorian U3As, supported by U3A Network Victoria, with another 30 U3As planning to convert this year.
The project to migrate our membership system to the new Member Wizard application is well underway with the new system to be ready before the start of Term 3. Your current membership details including your membership number and class enrolments will be migrated to the new system ready for you by early July.
Online access closed in June for the transition
Our current system is still active but will be closed from Monday 1 June to prepare for the transfer of data.
In June, all enrolments and withdrawals will need to be made via orange forms at the Reception desk rather than online. Apologies must be advised to Reception either in person, via phone, or by marking the attendance sheet with an “A” for the days you will be away. Online Apologies will not be available.
Help will be available
Instructions on how to get started with member Wizard will be in the next newsletter and on the website closer to July. A “Cheat Sheet” will be available for all members by the start of Term 3.
Training for Leaders will also take place in July with a Leaders Information Session on Wednesday, 8 July. During the first two weeks of Term 3 we will be running small group classes for members.
