The Volunteers are the first welcoming voice to U3A and support members in many ways including taking membership payments, and providing information to existing and prospective members as well as having a friendly chat as people pass by on their way to classes.
On Thursday 30 January, 55 Reception Desk Volunteers gathered for an information session and morning tea in preparation for the year ahead on the Reception Desk at our U3A. See the photo gallery here.
Did you know Reception Desk Volunteers ….
- assist members navigate and access information on the member computer which is on the reception desk
- direct, if necessary, members to their classroom
- will remind members about wearing their name badges when at U3A
- assist Course Administration with various tasks
- are rostered one half-day per month
91 members have volunteered to help on the Reception Desk in 2025. The Reception Desk Volunteers are an integral part of U3A Nunawading.
