The year got off to a great start with our annual Summer School.
Our office is now closed and will be open from Monday 31 January from 9.00am – 3.30pm to assist you with enrolments and accept membership fees. Term 1 starts on 7 February.
It is exciting to have seven new courses added to our program this year and to have our new Class Leaders drawn from within our membership and from outside U3A.
While many popular classes are full, there is quite a lot of movement in the first few weeks as enrolments settle down.
Do you prefer to learn from home? Our face-to-face classes on Apple devices are full, but we have space in all our computer classes running on Zoom. Read on to see what’s available.
This year’s Summer School, which ended last week, provided a record number of lectures and activities for members over the long summer break. From making baskets out of used plastic to making digital photo albums, there was something for everyone.
From boot camp to ikebana, from shaking a tambourine to embroidering in a hoop, the Hub was alive with activity over the six days.
If you would like to get involved and find out more about how our U3A works, why not offer to volunteer one or two half days a month on the Reception Desk.
You will get to meet lots of your fellow members and feel part of the great team that keeps our organisation running so efficiently.
New and returning members can enrol in all 2022 Classes including Term 1 Computer Classes online. Enrolments at the office will resume on Monday 31 January. Classes begin on Monday 7 February.
To enrol in face-to-face classes you must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and confirm this by ticking the box in your online My Membership details.
Visiting the Hub – Council Staff will not admit you to the Hub if you cannot provide proof of your vaccination status via your Service Victoria app or a printed copy of your digital certificate. Masks must be worn inside the Hub.
New and returning members can enrol in all 2022 Classes including Summer School and Term 1 Computer Classes online or at the office while Summer School is running.
