Looking for an extra class? There’s a long list at the bottom of this article. Also check the website for any of our general classes that may have a vacancy. Please do not enrol in a class unless you are confident you can attend each week.

We have two special events coming up. A number of you have been asking for us to put on a session re the referendum. Your request has now been met. See the article later in this newsletter. And for Seniors Month in October, Aqualink is offering a bodyscan at the Hub.

Four O’clock Forums offer valuable insights

The Four o’clock Forums are gathering momentum and earning a reputation for increasing knowledge and wellbeing.

The Forums cover a wide-ranging set of topics as shown in this article. We have a report from last month’s session on good health, a reminder of this month’s session on online safety and introducing October’s session on the Bower Studio program helping remote indigenous communities. Great variety!

Term 3 new member welcome morning teas

On Monday 7 August and Thursday 10 August the Member Liaison Sub-committee prepared and served successful morning teas to new members. Though new members have only been able to enrol for class vacancies since Term 3, both sessions were well attended, cheerful and lively. Eighteen attended the Monday session and ten attended the Thursday session.

33rd AGM in pictures

Four new Committee of Management Members were elected at our 33rd Annual General Meeting (AGM) held on the morning of 16 August at the Nunawading Community Hub. Approximately 90 members and invited guests attended the meeting.
