On 4 May, more than 20 members of the Military History Group visited the National Vietnam Veterans Museum at Newhaven near Phillip Island. The museum has a very well curated exhibit (see photo gallery) covering the entire period of Australia’s participation in the Vietnam conflict.

In this edition of Snippets, we focus on our members with a big morning tea, a special birthday, a Marvelous Melbourne Walk, a class snapped in the autumn sunshine and an Appy Hour reminder. Plus, the fun on offer for the forthcoming school holidays.
A warm welcome to all members returning from the term and Easter break. I do hope that many of you were able to catch up with family and friends and enjoy your break from U3A.

Morning tea was organised on 4 and 6 April to welcome new 2023 members to U3A. It was a wonderful opportunity for our new members to meet and greet each other over a cuppa and some cake.
Members again enjoyed the opportunity of participating in two hot cross bun morning teas in the last week of Term 1. See the photo gallery for pictures of the events.
A record 95 members attended the April Four o’clock Forum about aged care planning and bookings are strong for the May forum, ‘Philosophy Begins in Wonder’. With only a few remaining seats available, members are advised to enrol now.
Last Thursday, 4 May, was World Password Day.
