Outlook is very positive for 2022

The outlook for U3A Nunawading in 2022 is looking very positive! We had over 1,500 enrolments in the first week with many classes already full. Our members are clearly excited to be back, and new members are eager to join. Welcome to you all!
Last week was party time where we thanked our hard workers and many classes held their own end-of-year celebrations.

Thanks for keeping the wheels turning!

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has kept the wheels turning at U3A Nunawading during the latest lockdowns! Many Class Leaders and other support people have given their time generously moving outside of their comfort zone to keep in touch with their class mostly by Zoom, but also via email. It’s a credit to everyone how well we have all learnt to master aspects of technology that were completely unknown to us just two years ago.

We’re turning 31!

Please put Wednesday 8 September in your calendar. U3A Nunawading is about to celebrate its 31st anniversary. Our 30th anniversary last year was postponed due to COVID, so we are hoping to hold a fun event in the Hub this year for members. We’ll provide more information closer to the date. Whatever we do, it will be in line with COVID restrictions at the time.

President’s Message

I hope that you are feeling more settled in our new home despite COVID restrictions keeping us further apart from one another (1.5 metres!) than we would like to be. When things are going well, it’s easy to forget that we are still in the midst of a pandemic, so all of us need reminding from time to time.

We assure you that serious measures are being taken to ensure that all classes are operating under strict COVID-safe protocols.
