2022 Enrolments now open

In this article:

– As a current member you can now enrol in all 2022 Classes including Summer School and Term 1 Computer Classes. Read the full article for limits on the number of classes you can select.

– To be able to enrol in face-to-face classes you must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and tick the box to confirm this when you enrol online. Read the full article for more information about fees, vaccination status and how to enrol.

Lots to choose from in Summer School

You can enrol in up to nine classes in our January Summer School as part of your 2022 membership.

The 65 talks, walks, sports, workshops and excursions run from Tuesday 11 January to 21 January with almost all classes free of charge except for some materials costs for craft classes and tickets for the excursions.

Valerie receives 2021 COTA Award

Vice President Valerie Donlon received a 2021 Council of The Ageing (COTA) Award for her contribution as a volunteer to the community for over a decade. Valerie volunteered at Eastern Volunteers on their fundraising committee and as a driver, with AMES as an English tutor, at WIRE as a telephone support worker and for the past 10 years ago in a number of roles at U3A Nunawading including four as President.

Dr Apollo Nsubuga-Kyobe speaks at first Forum

June MacDonald, Committee of Management member and Class Leader of Africa – the emerging continent, reviews the recent presentation given by Dr Apollo on “Some of the challenges towards positive ageing of Africans – a Case Study of Emerging Communities in Australia.” After having to cancel the four previously planned Four O’clock Forums this was our first Forum for the year. 2022 Enrolments now open for all

New and returning members can now enrol in all 2022 Classes including Summer School and Term 1 Computer Classes..

To enrol in face-to-face classes you must have received two doses of COVID-19 vaccine and confirm this by ticking the box in your online My Membership details or on your enrolment form.

Visiting the HubCouncil Staff will not admit you to the Hub if you cannot provide proof of your vaccination status via your Service Victoria app or a printed copy of your digital certificate.

You can now see classes being offered in 2022

All 2022 Classes including Summer School can now be VIEWED on the Courses list on our website

– You will be able to ENROL from 9am on Monday 29 November if you are a financial member this year.
– Enrolments open for new members and previous members who were not financial in 2021 on Wednesday 1 December.

Printed copies of the 2022 Course Guide, Summer School Program and list of Term 1 Computer Classes are also available for collection from the Hub.

The office will be open until Friday 10 December and reopen on Monday 10 January for Summer School. Our office hours are 9.00am – 3:30pm Monday to Friday.

Thanks for keeping the wheels turning!

A big ‘thank you’ to everyone who has kept the wheels turning at U3A Nunawading during the latest lockdowns! Many Class Leaders and other support people have given their time generously moving outside of their comfort zone to keep in touch with their class mostly by Zoom, but also via email. It’s a credit to everyone how well we have all learnt to master aspects of technology that were completely unknown to us just two years ago.
