The end of Term 1 arrived very quickly with the Course Admin team checking that the attendance lists would be as up-to-date as possible for Term 2. We have included a list of classes that still have vacancies if you would like to try something new.
Last year the Body Scan sessions were very popular, and some members missed out. You may be pleased to hear that Body Scan is returning this year. Get in quick for your tickets!

How fortunate was I to be able to spend five weeks travelling with my eldest daughter sharing some of the great wonders of the world.
The diverse range of topics in this edition of Snippets includes information on local Dawn Services; The Round’s entertainment program; a reminder to complete the Positive Ageing survey; next month’s national Volunteering Week; details about a local Tree Society; and how to recycle better.
With Term 1 rapidly coming to an end I do hope that all members old and new are enjoying their classes in 2024. Read on for more interesting activities to come this term.
We are fast approaching the end of Term 1, which has been a busy time for our terrific leaders with all the new and returning courses, and for all our members. Judging by the buzz at the Hub, I think everyone is enjoying their classes and the opportunity to socialise. Term 2 is not far away now, and brings with it quite a few new courses – see below for more details.
A reminder that Term 1 finishes on Thursday 28 March (not Friday), and Term 2 begins on Monday 15 April after a two-week break.
Join in the Harmony Day fun and festivities on Thursday 21 March at the Hub. Wear your national costume, or a splash of orange. Bring a dish that represents your culture to share on the tasting table. Then continue the celebrations at the Culture Fest on Sunday 24 March.
A warm welcome was extended to our newest members at morning teas on 26 and 29 February. At each event, our President, Gary Walker, gave a heartfelt welcome speech and spoke briefly about U3A and how it is run by volunteers. He emphasised the importance of community in enhancing the experience for everyone, and that members’ input was invaluable in the operations of U3A Nunawading.
